This Is Who We Are

despite all the negative, slanderous, and hurtful comments out of the mouth of RPigM, those of us from NNY (by birth, transplant, choice, or any other means) are not only some of the most friendly people on earth, we are generous, polite, and compassionate.

We give of our hearts, homes, and possessions to those who are in need - not because it is the "right" thing to do and will make us look good, but because it is the only thing to do, ingrained in our hearts and souls.

In my hometown, there is an agency that has been in business for decades that relies on the donations of people to provide clothing, housewares, personal hygiene products, medicines, glasses, and food to those in need.

This agency is income based, open to barter, and never turns away anyone who needs assistance, whether temporary or long term.

It helped organize a form of "traveling restaurant" hosted by local churches during the harsh winters at a VERY affordable cost so that anyone would be able to get a quality hot meal at a minimal cost - and people from all walks of life sit elbow to elbow on these evenings.

Not only has this organization thrived, it has branches in nearby communities and has become a model for other communities to follow.

More than that, most of us follow some basic rules of behavior - be respectful and do no harm.

So if you ever hear RPigM talking about "upstate NY" or "Watertown" or "Jefferson County" or any of the other places (north of the "sophisticated" environs of Syracuse) in a derogatory manner...consider the source.

This is the same man who fled CNY because the people there were "mean", "rude", "unhappy", and other negative descriptors that fall out of his mouth.

As for me? No matter where I am, I proudly call myself a NNYer!

This is who we are!
